The importance of field work
Field work by definition is work done outside
Field work is so important because it is how we collect data. Without going and seeing things for yourself you can not tell if the information you have found is true, so you investigate by going and looking for yourself.
Field work can help you collect information about the topic you are studying by taking pictures making observations like is the water clear or murky, salty or fresh, seeing how things change over time, recording information in graphs and tables, taking samples and measurements or even just looking around with your eyes and using your senses. Without field work we wouldn’t be able to collect as much data and information as possible.
